Higher latency in online games.

I've had this problem for quite a few months now, I was hoping it would get fixed by itself after struggling for weeks with Telkom and being told there isn't any problems when there clearly were.

So normally my ping(latency) in online games would be around 180~ or 160 on a good day, but one day it went up to 200-230 at a time and it's just been stuck like that since.

I've tried DNS servers, full resetting the router, talking to mechanics from Telkom and a lot of other methods.

If someone could help me out, that'd be great!

Lets start off with the following. What connection you using , Are you using ethernet cable to connect to the router or wireless and Where you trying to connect to?

WyvernTheWolf, your increased latency is most probably caused by ASSIA, which switched your sync from a FastPath to Interleaved sync.

they switched me to fastpath ages ago, have not been switched back since. I was told although, assia does run in the background in case there is a defect on the line which will switch it back to interleaving.
