Howzit,

I've never posted here in motoring before so I apologize if this isn't the correct place for such thread.

I'm going to be selling my Hilux L45 4x4 next week and would like some advise on what should I ask for the vehicle.

Specs:
2015 Hilux Legend 45 4x4
Color White
Full leather interior (Black)
Roll bar and Tonneau cover
Nudge bar, tow bar and side step
Reverse camera
Mileage 6900KM
6 months old, bought in Jan 2015

New at the dealer they sell for R515K - what do you think I should ask for mine?
I was thinking that R420K but not sure if I'm low balling myself or not.

WTF do you buy a car only to sell 6months later? Taking a knock on depreciation and interest etc.

I work for Toyota at the plant in Isipingo, Durban. I get a discount on any Toyota vehicle that I purchase. Policy is we can buy and sell every 12 months or 30000km whichever comes 1st. But this Legend 45 I can sell early at 6 months so I'm selling my one now.

Not a huge Hilux fan but that's a top versatile cabbie.

All Hilux models hold they value remarkably well.

Your "limited" Legend 45 should holds it valid better than any top model Ranger; Amarok; KB etc

I'm not a huge Hilux fan either. In terms of looks it's a bit long in the tooth now. The Toyota quality and reliability is what carries this vehicle more than its looks looks or its value for money.

Straight up, if it's wasn't for the discount I'd probably have bought a Ranger. But doing that means Toyota removes my fuel card... at +-1K to fill the bakkies tank you can guess why I stick with Toyota

Probably a great car, but you'll look like a p03s driving it... Seriously, every person I've met who drives one of these "limited" bakkies has been a grade A twatnozzle.

I didn't have much of a choice when chosing whether to get a limited edition or not. I placed my order for a 4x4 Double Cab, got an email asking if I'd like to upgrade to the Legend 45 at a small extra cost and took it. Because of the extras that came on with the limited addition it was cheaper to pay the difference than add leather and tow bar etc.

I can't say if I look like a po3s driving it around the last 6 months but I know what you mean. I put boy racer M3 drivers in that class

Hmm...I think you should consider the other premium Jap brand...

Infiniti QX80

If I drive another manufacturer I will lose my fuel benefit. To lose that would mean I'd have to pay for my fuel :(

Believe me there are many other vehicles I would rather buy with my money.

That infinity is nice but I'd rather get a Toureg
