Any opinions on the island Koh Yao Noi and a stay in Hua Hin?

Never been to Vietnam but have been to Thailand and its a fantastic place but yes filthy as hell.
Those people have no clue about being clean thats for sure.
However the islands are amazing but also places there are dirty too.
In Bangkok I saw rats as big as cats

Lemme clear up a few things. The coup will not affect you at all in Thailand. about Vietnam.... What garp said, if you want island vibes there is phu quoc island in Nam which is really nice and chilled.
