That is way too far from the pump. It's on the other side of the pool.

Maybe epoxy the sensor into the PVC pipe coming back from the pool? As long as the pump is running it should give a pretty accurate reading.

Dont think there is an annual subscription. That part is included in the price when buying the device. It literally is a once off payment to buy the device.

Yeh, I'm not big on unnecessary costs or dependencies like that. If it goes down you have a paper weight.

I like my stuff cloud independent, speaking of, I need to get round to coding my efergy replacement.

Hmm, wondering if buying it and then hacking it , to use WiFi and 'local' mode would be feasible?

Pity, they don't have that option as a different SKU.

Yeah I’ve never bothered with the current method so I’m very keen for this.

How much are these? Astute is pretty well priced at R350.

I believe there is a way to get sonoff to work with local access only and not their cloud.

Which modules work like that?
Does HA work seamlessly with local access?

Currently I’m using SonoffLan to control my sonoff devices.

I have a pow r3 connected between my db and my pool pump. Works well as the pool pump only pulls about 1kW

My mistake, it's too early in the morning, was confused with the zbr3. I have previous version pow

Connectors also look much more appropriate for application now.
