for beer? im trying to figure out which route is best...

Can this thing actually hold a boil for 60min ?
No that was for making coffee or soup.

Have no idea how well or if it will work for brewing, guess it could.

Not expensive, worth a try.

I have a 2000W element but only boils around 25 Lts...but it's a strong boil so think I could easily do more.

what type of element, one like this or an urn or geyser one?
No sorry just an Urn one... thinking of adding it too a pot like you... though haven't gotten around to it. The urn ones all come with poor safety dry boil protection cause them to trip all the time. I just opened it up and disabled it.

Looks like that just with the electrical attached to the back.

Ah ok thanks!

Alternatively I'll just pop the pot on the induction stove.. Kekeke

I would actually love to permenetly mount one, just scared shxt off messing up the pot drilling it etc.

Then also have a look at the geyser elements as well (R3-400 + mounting). The guys with the caterpride and basterfield 50l urns are all happy with the 3kw the ones with the 2.5kw logik urns normally have to insulate to get a good boil on cold days. So 3kw is good it also works on typical 16amp circuit breakers.

I'm actually toying with two idea element in the pot...

But the second is putting the pot on the induction hob. I use this already for my 25l mashes won't do more than 25l of liquid at a time even in the 50l turning it slightly hotter than usual and using pump to cycle the liquid when it heats up using an stc 1000. So essentially the pump provides the cooling to drop the temp slightly when circulating if you follow me... If I nail this mashing will be automated then and wort should be clearer

Try getting a low watt-density element, you want the heating spread out as much as possible to avoid scorching during boiling. Having had (still have) a Logik 50L urn, I concur with the sentiments that 3kW is the preferred option instead.
