Myself. I have an RO system at home that I still need to get working properly (time runs away from me) then I will just be using that and calling it quits. But until then, I have been using Thirsti as it has been on special at my Spar.
I have a RO system lurking around that I havent installed yet, Im going to be building a new kitchen soon so was planning on plumbing it all in at the same time.
Im keen to build a water profile for some of the recipes I like to see how it was intended to taste.

It would probably be cheaper to get it on banggood.
Yeah either that or a Clawhammer pot, it has a triclover fitting for an element so I could just up the element rating and use the controller with PID that I built for my URN conversion.

So I found when you're brewing hoppy beers, buying RO water and adjusting the profile properly, I got a really crisp hop profile out of it. Way better than brewing with tap water. Overall though it's too much effort for me. I'd LOVE to have an RO system at home, but I don't, unfortunately. Perhaps time to invest...

The pricing has come down a lot for home systems. I have a 2 stage filter at the moment because I drink a lot of water and hate tap water. I have been using that for my brewing water, which works fine.
I generally dont put too much value in the finer details of brewing, I get great beer using my current methods, but if I want to up my game at some stage then I will look into the rest.

I tested my first brew using temp controller fermentation this weekend, the difference in clarity and flavour was definitely noticeable.

Yeah look, long before I get an RO system I'll have to get a kegging setup. For sure.

The problem I have with kegging is that I dont drink a lot of beer, from my investigations it seems like the way to go if you get through a full batch in a short space of time.
I love the idea of convenience but I share most of my beer with family and friends.

The next issue is needing another fridge to make a kegerator or keezer. It would be seriously awesome not having to wash and sanitize 40 bottles at a time along with priming and bottle conditioning affecting clarity.

I want a kegging setup mostly because I find it a schlep to bottle constantly. With a keg you can also bottle from the keg, so there's that.

EDIT: Main reason would be that I really want to hunt clear beers, though.

Our old chest freezer (circa noah's ark period) is giving problems in that every once in a while a random pack or 2 of meat will defrost... so we're on the hunt for a new one. Guess what's going to happen with the old one.

The 40. It is OK but I would hold off on buying. The controller board needs a temperature adjustment (the sensor is out at the boiling range). Great for the mash though - that really makes my day because the BIAB business was a little too much that could go wrong.
read a thread on FB where the guys demacraft was out by 10C. it's the same rebranded unit as the BB. might be worth it to check if that temperature adjustment is just out at the boil and not at the mash as well.

I check it thoroughly. So my weekend mash called for 68.9. External thermometer showed that while the BB reported 71.4, the actual temp was 68.9 - so I did the program to work on a mash of 71.4, knowing full well it was in fact the 68.9 my recipe called for.

Ah man, measured my Marzen last night. Got just over 20l at 1.062 OG. Way too high, so I watered it down to 23l at 1.054. Looks and smells awesome.

Pitched S-189 and it's going at 13°C. Can't wait for this one.

I feel like I have finally passed the test as a homebrewer.
I have been trying for years to get my wife to drink a beer, I have tried every craft and commercial beer I could get my hands on but she would never get more than one or two sips in before calling it quits.
Last night she tried my latest batch of APA and enjoyed it so much she drank two of them!!

Now a sudden downside to this has come up... Im going to be going through beer a lot quicker in future!

Maybe this helps. I see in the vid description it says the following :

"Boiling temperatures differ depending on where you are brewing. At the coast its around 100 degrees, in Jozi we are are around 94 degrees. This video shows you how to set your offset, so that your boil timer is triggered at the correct temperature."

ps. I also bought one of these(40L) and a fermenter(30L) but have not brewed yet. The plan is to make Sunday my brew day.

I've bottled my Blonde Ale today Not sure how long to wait until the Session IPA I bottled on Sunday is ready to drink. I bottled a few samples in plastic 330ml Coke bottles and they're firming up nicely so I am tempted...

Also tempted by the stout wort the brewery is going to be selling next week...

Don't even thing twice, get the stout. I have another batch or 2 to make, but then I am switching to stouts, if you brew soon, they will be nice and conditioned by the time it gets cold. Cold winter nights = yummy stout.
