Anyone know where I can get a 50l boiling pot (biab) with tap? Seems only ketelkraal has and it's 40l. All grain recipes from nfp says you need 50l not sure why..
As on the other site, get a 50l urn. You need the extra space for grain, boil off water and water that get absorbed by the grain. Water also expands roughly 4% when boiling and the lastly boiling liquid spalshes.

That sound about right, yeah. The turn valve on the top is pretty important, as the lever valve typically still has the diptube installed and you don't want your regulator to get filled with liquid CO2. The turn valve alone typically costs around R400.

But shop around. R1,200 isn't bad, but it's not a bargain either. I paid R400 for my 2kg with a turn valve installed, so there are deals.

Most places in Pretoria swap the bottles out and don't fill them for you while you wait.
