^ Apparently yes, but it does fade quickly. You mix a batch for brew day & 2x weeks later after fermentation when its time to bottle that batch is faded and you have to mix some again in any event. Don't get me wrong ... it's a good sanitizer and I used it for a good couple of brews, but after getting my hands on Starsan, I'm not looking back :)
Starsan mixed with RO water lasts a looooong time ... just test every now & then to make sure the PH is still <3.5

Give THIS as listen .... very interesting ;)

I've only ever bought bottles from Consol - but at R75+- for 24 440ml bottles I really don't think it is badly priced.

Quick question, my wife has gone and put a couple of my bottles through the dishwasher (not just sanitizing, the whole wash cycle). Just to be safe (I need head.....that sounds bad), can I just wash all the bottles inside out with something like coppertun's detergent to remove all traces left by the dishwasher detergent? I read somewhere that dish washing detergent is bad for the head when you pour beer?

I wouldn't worry too much about the bottles - as longs as they are clean and sanitized you will be fine.

Residual soap on the glass you pour your beer into tends to have an effect on the head retention...

Ah ok, thanks, bottling an ipa tonight, and since I love me some ipa, don't want it to be ruined by the dishwasher

Hi, If you willing to pay about R3/bottle for Swingtop Grolsch bottles, let me know, as I know someone that has about 300 - Goodwood area.
He also have a couple of spare replacement swingtops & about 700 new silicone replacement gaskets.

Wow - that is a lot of bottles!

If I may ask - how did he come to have so many?

^ We bought a lot of 2nd hand equipment from an "ex-home-brewer / ex-work-colleague" , I took 250 bottles knowing it should last me fine & my friend took the rest & I think he counted 300. :)
