Perhaps someone can advice me, i have a big function at the end of April, basically we are holding four 30th birthdays on the same day and we wanted to do "beer on the house" thing, for this we will need a 50l Keg, or two 30L kegs, but where the heck do you buy them from, and how much are they?, obviously when you have the Keg you will need the pouring mechanism as well? Ideally we would have liked something like Gillroy's or a real beer, but we will settle for Castle at this stage :-/
Plan B is buy a lot of brandy :)

I know that you could get kegs from Draymans.

Look at "Keg king" (http://www.kegking.co.za)
They do that sort of thing, with a decent selection of beers.

I did not even know about Draymans, and they are honestly not far from where i'm staying, 15km at most. i'll definitely give them a go!

Regarding KingKEg, this is what im looking for, just a shame it will costs me R500 to get the beer of of the actual KEG, and i have to give the thing back after a day :p

Necro - hey dude.

Yep, you'll be seeing Gravedigger American Blonde and Banshee Irish Red Ale (and a new one) in stores pretty soon. Finally organised with pro brewing and bottling so the product is 100% stable and distribution will be JHB and CPT within the next month.

Its taken me two years to get it here, lots of school fees, but its finally at that place where I can confidently put it out in the market full time and in both cities.

Necro - dude, its been a hell of a journey. I've been quiet as it took me a year to realise I was throwing money down the wrong road, but we are back on track now and its all systems go.

We'll probably have a launch in JHB, I'll let everyone in this thread know about when I finalise the plan.

As mentioned yesterday, i had this bastard last night
https://theworldsbestever.s3.amazonaws.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/iron-maiden-beer.jpg
The iron Maiden Trooper from Robinson's brewery, and my verdict is..(drum-roll)...Man it was bad, its bitter as hell, and a nasty dry after taste, Hazy yellow color, think i was expecting to much.

Edit, saw this review
Light lacing and low retention. Smells of floral, sweet malt and lemon. Tastes of lemon grass, flowers and citrus. Very slight bitter finish
i had non of that.

Last night i had the Thwaites Double Century Celebration Ale,
http://www.camrgb.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Double-Century.jpg
Yesterday i said "The Trooper" was the worst beer ever, i take that back, this, this right here has to be the worst beer ever. It tastes like beer mixed with colgate.
Reviews says the following :
Pours a clear dark amber color with a medium off-white long-lasting head. Aroma is restrained, with soft hops and some malty undertones. Notes of orange citrus, tangerines, herbs, pine and hay. Taste has a nice balance of piney bitterness with sweet orange touches. Really pleasant. Medium bodied and with a fizzy carbonation. It ends with a long finish and a clearly defined aftertaste.
I am not entirely sure how drunk these guys are when they taste all that, besides for the bitterness mixed with Colgate, i got non of that.

i also had the following last night : Erdinger Dunkel
http://www.danmurphys.com.au/media/DM/Product/750x2000/907086_0_9999_v1_m56577569846178459.jpg
Now this beer on the other hand was good, real good!!
Its dark, creamy and has a slight taste of banana, its slightly bitter but goes down very smoothly. i can highly recommend this!!

Here is what the reviews said :
Aroma; dark wheat malts, citrus, apple, grass, faint hints of liver oil. Light beige bumpy standing head, brown bubbly body, spread lacings. Taste; toffee malts, flourish grains, some hops, notes of plums. To palate a little dry, slightly mealy. Finishes with light chocolate, grass, hops, grains, dark bread. Overall easy to drink, both chilled and served at a bit higher temperature
