Hi.
The migration is not completed yet, they are still looking out for issues that may occur.
Ipv6 will only be implemented once the migration is done.
Hi.
Hi.I don't know what's changed but latency shot up a lot.
It was at the same level initially.

Hi.
Have you logged a fault with HC?
I will be surprised if you even get a replyhi

It has been logged with our upstream provider.True, but at least I know now that its local to me with your tracert.
Hopefully the heavy and helpful guns of @Afrigirl will be able to speed things up.

I will provide feedback as soon as receivedThank you very, much.
I will check again over the next few days and see it reverts back to the lower latency.

so what is the difference between HC and AH now. Same network, just worse support from HC and slightly higher prices?
I am on Afrihost with a public IP that hasn't changed in months and all I did was ask them for it and don't have to pay a thingFor me I've looked at moving to AH, but on HC I get a "Free" static IP which no one other ISP can offer me the same package plus static IP for any less than I am paying HC.
To be fair I've never really needed support from HC, mostly if there is an outage its area wide and I see it on groups or get a notification from HC so don't need to report it.
The only big issue I ever had was an issue were all my Azure and CloudFlare traffic was been directed via Cape Town (was on the old HC network) my brother in law 3Ks away but different FNO but HC was going via JHB.
That took a bit of effort and lots of escalation to get the routing sorted.
Must say this routing issue resolution was a much better experience.
if you're on one of the FNO's they use DHCP on the IP only seems to change when your router MAC changes (well, this is what I can see on my Frogfoot installation). On my openserve it changes basically whenever I reconnect, or by itself every few days. They do offer static on OS which I had at some point but dynamic works just fine with dynamic dns or cloudflare tunnelsFor me I've looked at moving to AH, but on HC I get a "Free" static IP which no one other ISP can offer me the same package plus static IP for any less than I am paying HC.
