I don't know what you've been told but my numbers are from the published Pillar 3 disclosures available on the bank's websites.

I know you guys have the biggest commercial property book ahead of Investec though.

I had better results doing it myself. The originator refused to go back to the banks to get a better rate.

You should qualify for that. There are some government programs to also help you. The banks would require that you buy an actual house or flat with a title/semi-title unit, not a shack. So good luck finding something for R150k

How do you plan to buy a house and a car and have anything left?

Thanks Rietrot, please also feel free to share some links/contacts for government programs
@SauRonza
A car was not that urgent, I was exploring my options on buying car that's not expensive while renting, which I thought would create more options/chances to quality for dream house in the future but with the problems I have with renting... Getting a cheap house take priority.

The estate agents,banks and bond originators all know about it and should also help you, its more businesses for them as it makes it easier for you to get a bond.
