Hi

I got the latest version of Heroes of Might and Magic recently and have been playing the scenarios. Last week, I decided to try the campaigns and was doing quite well until I hit the 5th mission of the 1st campaign.

I know I'm supposed to capture Dunmoor, the castle at the top of the screen. Then the hero supposed to rescue Isabel. My problem is that I don't know where the heck to find her. Can anyone help me?

Thanks

Aphy

If I remember correctly, to the right (slighty up) of that Castle is a prison tower, you will find Isabel in there. Just defeat the guards.

Awesome game isn't it ? Make sure you are running the 1.2 patch, it fixes many bugs.

Thanks a stack.

I've not found any bugs yet ... not that I can tell. My game is just slow 'cos I'm running 256mb RAM instead of 512. Got more, but the card was faulty. Hopefully soon again.

Read the 1.1 and then the 1.2 changelog and you will see just how much was fixed. A hell of a lot.

I don't have internet at home yet ... so guess I'll have to vasbyt ... It's ok, I don't have that much time to play. Do you know if there are additional maps to download?

*LOL* ... last night when I tried Mission 5 for the last time, I didn't go for Dunmoor, but went straight for the demons ... got my ass seriously whupped - 5 archdevils was a bit much!

I'm not sure where you can download additional maps from, but I do know that the patch comes with a few maps.

LOL ... all the more reason to hope internet is set up at home again soon. But why am I asking? I've not even done the 1st campaign ... and only completed 2 scenarios...

I am also loving this game. It is so laid back but involved at the same time. Really like it a lot. How big is the patch approximately?

Thanks, just downloaded the patch, but my game is not installed in the default C:blah/blah but in G:blah/blah, there is no option to change it so now what:confused:
It gives me the message: HoMMV not installed on this computer. Guess I'll just do it later when I get a new C: drive and have to reinstall anyway.
Doesn't look like a critical patch and I'm not playing online so no biggie right?
Just btw how do you guys know what a "throng, group, sev., pack, troop or lots" is, and how tough the mothers are? Is there a guide available? I haven't found one. Some of them look like real roughnecks and then turn out to be kittens and vice versa:) .

why dont you copy the game to your C: drive, patch it and then copy it back to the G: drive?

Just a quick question Roy, I dont want to judge you but do you have a legal copy of the game? As far as i know the path to HOMMV should be in the registry, thats where it gets the path from.

Yes I do. I had to install to G: because there's no space on C:(Small partition only for OS and work related stuff). The game is legal, but funny enough, every now and then I get a "no cd found" message that dissappears when I retry. I get the same with Farcry every now and then, but apparently so does everybody else.
It could be that patch is faulty? I lost my connection a few times while downloading, how reliable is "resume" usually?

Trying Virgin Mobile because its cheap, just got it connected and it is flaky. The MTN EDGE on my N70 is way way better(even without the 3G). Actually, I wanted to test the connection using a large file like the patch. Win some you lose some. I can probably still check mail and very laid back surfing with it.
