Honor, Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi, and Huawei flagships compared

anything that doesn't have access to a proper app store shouldn't even be on the list ... bye bye Huawei ...

Nothing against people that want flagships, but after seeing my sister's A34 and how responsive it is with AMOLED screen and 5G I would rather take a Samsung A34 over a Chinese brand.

Then again if you are a heavy gamer or really into mobile photography then it is another story I guess.

With cost of living someone like me or my SO or sister just needs a responsive phone with good software support and preferably 5G (future proof).

I paid just about the same (little bit less) for my MI 11 Lite 5g. Bonus is the screen is big , but the unit only weighs 159 g. Love the phone. The battery life is also very good, would last at least 2 days easily.

I would not go for Xiaomi again. Even if you can get better spec for lower price. Their software is k@k. I have the Redmi 9C which I understand is a entry level model, but their OS kills just about every app constantly. You have to fiddle with settings to prevent this for all your apps that you need to have notifications working reliably. Also their OS updates are terrible. I got one Android update which was cool...but nothing since. Not even a Android security patch.

Samsung have really upped their game now. Sister's A34 should get 4 Android updates I believe and even longer security updates after that. I have a Samsung A52s company phone. It is a relatively old model but I should still get UI6 with Android 14 on it and further security patches thereafter. I actually received the July security patch today.

The Redmi's are k@k. The normal MI's are the best. I could not be happier with the phone I have now. Just need a bit of fiddling. I have 2 dead Samsungs in my cupboard, never again.

Okay 2 year old phone with no more support?

huh ? just got an update like a day or so ago
Not an os update but a security update. But you're comparing a 2 year old midrange phone to a new entry-mid phone
