Is anyone else experiencing this bad international latency?

It's the 4mb people stealing all the internets! :(

Seems to be yet another SAIX issue ;)

Same here - line has been fully upgarded to 4mbps (getting youtube videos at 3.5mbps average), however pings have gone through the roof, in excess of 1000ms to international servers. Either traffic is being routed via Satellite, or there's a problem with the international link.

Yeah, also crawling. When i got home international speeds were 100%, now gettin like 10kb/s on 4mb line... I dont think the network can handle all the 4mb users. The first signs are beginning to show. :(

Ok as beelzs said durban is fine.

My guess is that Durban traffic accesses SAT3 at Mtunzini landing station - can anyone confirm this.
If thats so i would suggest the problem lies at Melkbosstrand station.

Prehaps Neotel plugging in their bits?? Or am i being too optomistic??

I also had high pings from International. I saw on my router that the DNS changed, after updating my DNS settings and a restart it is back to normal.
