Horrible service from Prophecy shop

Anyone else been experiencing horrible service from them lately?

Had a faulty motherboard replaced, after being lied to about the shipping dates a couple of times I eventually received the replacement board yesterday.

To my surprise it's also faulty. Tested it with different RAM, CPU, Memory... Faulty!

WTF!!!!

Been trying to get hold of them for the past hour and no one even answers the phone!

Fault report?

The problem can be with you RAM, CPU, GPU, Memory etc.

Shipping dates can be erratic when it comes to suppliers with no availability, sourcing adds costs.

As I stated in first post...Tested with different PSU, RAM and CPU. Shipping should not be erratic when I phone them and they tell me the product has shipped to me and then finding out 3 days later that it is still with them.

Then ask to receive your tracking number.

Did you test build outside your case?

At OP, haven't dealt with them in ages. if you in the JHB why not visit them directly and sort it out. Not always possible I know, but an option? Maybe see if you could ship it back and ask for a full refund?

Strange that the second motherboard is also faulty, that's the manufacturer's fault. Ive always had good service from Prophecy shop, try speaking to Paul or Henk.

Same here. They usually go the extra mile.

Sometimes they give you back items that other people have RMA'd.. Just saying.

I've always had good service from them as well. Seems they just dropped the ball a bit on this one.

Only problem is Z77 boards is becoming scarce.

Firstly, I'm really sorry the board came back to you faulty. I confirmed with Asus that according to their system the board was swapped, when I get the board back from you I will compare the different serial numbers to check it was swapped. I don't know if it's the case that Asus swapped the board and the new was faulty, or if they screwed up and gave us the same board back. We've had a lot of issues with Asus warranties recently, with delays on swap outs, incorrect warranty information on their system (leading to a fight and emails to Europe to get it sorted out!) - we've taken this up with them, and we are also taking steps to do everything we can from our side to keep pressure on them and have things sorted out as quickly as possible.

In terms of the shipping delay on the board - I'm not sure what went wrong, what I have re-iterated with the guys in the office is that we must make sure we check the system when giving an update, and not just answer based on memory which leads to mistakes / confusing different customers. We dropped the ball on getting the RMA shipped as quickly as possible and on giving you correct information, I'll make sure that we improve in this area.

I'm glad we could sort you out with a credit, and get you sorted in the end. Let me know if there's anything else we can do.

Thanks for the reply Paul,

I tried to find the serial number but could not find one. Must admit I didn't try too hard to find it. It's definetely repaired/refurbished board.

I've ordered a new board from you guys. The RMA Asus one should arrive at your offices tomorrow. Please let me know when I can pay in the difference on the new board.

Glad we could get it sorted and will happily use Prophecy in the future.

At least with Prophecy you know that once they are made aware of an issue, the bosses step in and get it sorted pronto :)
