well, the network grew too fast and now you have 10 000 users all hitting the network at sometime during the day/night expecting to take their share of the 1mbit untill capped.

In SA it seems to happen with all cap based services, it was the same last month this time, and the month before.. and the month before. If you can, wait for night speeds or later in the month because the odds of WBS buying more capacity to accomodate more users at full speed are slim to none

Tested this morning. With an antenna (not optimally placed as yet), I was doing 600kpbs+. Without the antenna 400kpbs+ (modem also not optimally placed). Don't know if that's horrific speed.

Was using the GigaNews Speed Tes

Lucky you... Europe server gives me about 140 kbps, US one about 80 kbps.

Have noticed for a while that I get bettter reponses from UK servers than from US servers.

EU is always better than US because most of the traffic ends up going through NL and we have fantastic latency/speed to NL (which is basically the hub for most countries in EU)

I was seeing pretty good download speeds (through my VPN connection to the US nogal, but through my multi-threading download manager) yesterday morning. Avg about 80kBytes/s. Then our office had a power failure and when we finally came back up around 13:30 I was getting about 1.3kB/s.

I'm using iBurst from Woodmead during the day and from Northcliff after hours. Perhaps I won't comment on the status in Northcliff.... :(

make that more users from this month.
I'm having Horrible speeds no more than 20 kb/s and that's multiple downloads so the total was 20 kb/s.

I think its to put this new package this I-Go package that WBS is bring...
But Speeds are horrible my normal speeds were 160 kb/s full speeds. Now its gone from good to sour.

I'll give them time to fix ...
iBURST is wonderful Product but day's like this month I'll give them 1 week to fix.
Every begin of the month I reached my CAP in day 1. Now im not even by my cap :(

lol.. never 160!

My speeds have also not gone above 20kbps.. they'll start off at around 120 and remain there for the first meg or so - then just DROP and remain between 10 and 20 kbps.. This sucks :(

That sounds more like the server you are downloading from, but I've learnt that with iBurst unspeakable horrors are what WBS dream of afflicting on customers, i.e. anything is possible...perhaps better to ask forumites what speeds they get downloading from the same server(s)...
