Last year I was due an upgrade on multiple contracts and found a good deal at vodacom it was the p8 lite that came with free screen insurance but they never had stock. Every time I went to the branch they said come back at a later date. I do not remember how long it took for them to finally get stock but when they did get stock and I got the phones I made sure to ask if there was screen insurance as the new deals had already been released I was told yes there is screen insurance. It was one of the reason I went ahead with the upgrades. Now Vodacom are saying there there is not screen insurance and so far will not do anything. I find it unacceptable that the vodacom sales person lied to me and now I am stuck with an issue I planned to avoid.:twisted:

Why do you not take your problem to the highest level at Vodacom to resolve your problem eg. CEO?

How does the average Joe get in contact with the CEO of Vodacom?
This is a process that has been repeated MANY TIMES in this forum by application of common sense.
NB: Problems are always better resolved if put in writting.
1) Send an Email to customercare@vodacom.co.za explaining your problem and most importantly obtaining an Service Reference Number. Allow 7 for working days to resolve.
2) If not resolved send a properly constructed Email to ceo@vodacom.co.za with your first word of the subject as containing your Service Reference Number. You will be contacted by a person from the of the CEO to assist in resolving your matter.
Rome was not built in one day- Good results are obtain by hard work.

Thanks Ivanr for your advice that was my next step.

Update:

Before posting here I had tweeted vodacom and after a back and forth with vodacom and the customer care I thought I was wasting my time. But at about 3:30pm I was surprised to receive a call from a man who claimed to be from vodacom head office in midrand. After explaining the whole story to him he said he will look into it and get back to me. I might be naive but seems like progress was made. The only issue I had was he would not give me a reference number.

A side point when he called the line was very bad and he might have called me because I replied to the survey sms that vodacom are a bunch of liars and would not recommend them to anyone. So if you have issues try both methods to contact Vodacom.
