This. If you are in a position to go study go do that instead.

And for R30k you are only going to buy problems.

RE - go study
Something useful like a trade - plumber, electrician who will always be employable.

RE - for R30k
Get a scooter (out the box) for R8-10k

A R30K car is crap. Don't do it.
I was gonna get a 1990's Golf, people in the motoring section told me that R30k is a lot for a Golf :|
Not necessary to preach atheism.
Religious people like to call it another religion but it is really like saying that the "off button" on your tv is another channel.

RE - stepping on peoples toes
You should have another 50-60 years ahead of you and there will always be some idiot who is annoyed that you are in front of him on the road or ahead in the bank queue and you cannot worry about that. Stuff them!

The only rule that is worth keeping is the one about not doing to others what you don't want done to you.
The proactive rule is the one that advises you to do it to others before they do it to you.
That's good advice, some people are just naturally good at it, I get awkward when I have to complain that McDonalds forgets to give me a burger that I ordered >.< It's odd in a way I respect people that stand up for themselves, but me I start to stutter uugghhhh

Huh, I'm not against studying for plumbing or electrician, especially the electrician part then I can fix my car myself if something happens.

How much would that cost? I'd have to save up first and then study, maybe I use the R30k for studies instead? But idk, my friend is studying psychology and his studies cost him.. Well I can't remember but it was a crazy amount like R50k a year or even more.

As for a scooter, I don't mind it, but I can't ride a bicycle (no balance, parents never taught me) and idk if that will carry over?

Wait tables or serve drinks or deliver food. The food industry always needs people. Problem with SA is, there's no minimum wage so if you take a low paying job the floor's the limit. When I was in the UK in your position I used to do any kind of odd job around, like night shift factory work or delivery, and it was enough to get by on and have change at that age. Here you can't really do that. Are you PC literate at least?

My company is looking for students with some basic IT knowledge to do some shift work.
You can pretty much study whilst you are there.

If you are interested send me a pm

I've thought about that, I wonder if you really only get paid via tips and no wages? I'm a friendly person, but I can't be like some of those waitrons who are all like, 'awww yeaaahh whassup man how you doing what you wanna eat?'

I'd just be like, 'hi... and stare/smile them. I'm not a mean person by any means, I just lack fundamental social skills.

I am a little PC literate, I can replace a few components, well basically everything except the motherboard and I haven't put CPU paste on a CPU then installed a cooler yet. But the rest is alright.

With programs, I'm alright with Word and Excell, don't know much powerpoint or access. But don't ask me things like concatenate or w/e, I knew it in grade 11 when we did it, but I'm rusty atm.

I don't have short term money lol...

Man I wish I could just do like a degree and just be rich.

Life is so hard after school :S

idk what to do

Try applying for scholarships, bursaries or financial aid. Try and at least get some sort of post matric education , it will definitely help you

I didn't know South Africa had these, only like America... Student Loans.

If I could choose I'd wanna be a Physiotherapist! But everyone tells me I'll be a different person 2 years from now and I'll have wasted the time/money.

I'm not sure what a scholarship is, brb imma google that.

Does financial aid etc apply to all people of SA? I don't know anything about this

I checked out Scholarships and it seems they are rewarded to people with good high school marks? Is there a way for me to redo my matric and get my entire 4 year study paid for or something like that?

Or do I need to be 18 I can't be like 19+ and still get a bursary?

I know a guy went to the UK and worked as a porter carrying people's luggage at a hotel. He had free food and accommodation and after two years of saving his arse off came back to SA and paid for 2 years of varsity (3rd was on bursary) and bought himself a citi golf brand new.

There are opportunities everywhere. You just have to work hard and most importantly have a goal.

I would do this, given the chance, hell I probably wouldn't come back, but I don't know what direction to go into, where to find such places etc.

A sure fire way to make some money - basically you get paid to do drug tests. Generally safe but side effects can range from talking **** to incredibly penis shrinkage. Other name for this "trolling".

I'm so confused ?_?

I made lots of posts so far and they all pretty much are the same so not sure how this is trolling?
