How can I get my 8ta data sim card deactivated permanently?

Cut it into tiny pieces or burn it? The sim can then never be used and you have no more problem.
Aren't you supposed to take old SIMs to a police station?

I have rica'ed 15 + SIM's over the last few years that it has been required, that when they go "inactive" I just throw them in the trash can, as the service providers cannot/will not reactivate an inactive SIM ...

Par for the course when dealing with service providers in this country ...

Besides if you rica a new SIM, they know they have your latest and greatest personal details in their mailing data base which they can claim is checked regularly, so they can ask a higher price when they sell your details on to some other company so you can get spammed, and spammed and ....

Or you hand it in and the person you hand it to decides to give it to a friend/acquaintance who wants an untraceable sim.

As he wants it permenently gone and presumably never able to be used again, I think the only way is to destroy it.
