Hey everyone ,

Been battling with this for a while but can't seem to get to it. So I have a Samsung 55'' smart tv , UHD and a 20mb line ( net via cable) , which is mostly always optimal at around 19-21mb. Recently upgraded my Netflx sub to premium, searched for HDR shows on Netflx ( there's plenty) & proceeded to play one of them. Now I ensured my tv picture setting is on HDR+ function, so I toggled this function "on" & "off" with netflx on the background & besides a dim change in colour on netflx - I really cannot tell the difference.

Now I've seen lately online & everywhere that it might not be possible to view 4k without a min 25mb for Netflix ? is this true? It would help if there is a way I can get surety I am / not getting 4k on my 20mb line so I can cut my sub to save a little $$.
Would like to hear maybe what are your experiences & set-ups. Thanks

Netflix on UHD tops out at 15.5Mbps, but if you cannot see the difference than why pay for it? I use the R169 for the 4 at the same time as well. The UHD can only be viewed on one TV anyway.

I just wanted to try 4k - seems to me its not much different, but again its not a huge diff in price & I like the fact that you get the 4 viewing option

If you. Can't tell the difference then you don't need it.
Secondly, your TV MUST be a 4K TV if you want to view 4K content native.
Other wise the TV simply scales down to what it is capable of.

On LG TV you can hit the Info button on remote and it will bring up the resolution and streaming bitrate.

On Samsung you need to download the app for the "fulll remote" and then you can hit the Info button that will tell you this stuff.

Also you'll need to upgrade your package to the UHD one first, just in case you missed that point.
