Cape Town - The employers of a man crushed to death on the set of Hollywood blockbuster Resident Evil, have revealed details of his horrific death.

Last week the Daily Voice brought you the exclusive story of how the recently married Ricardo Cornelius, 34, died earlier this month while working on the Belhar set of the sixth instalment in the zombie movie series.

He died on December 3 due to extensive injuries, including liver damage, after being crushed by a Hummer....

Pity. At least Mila Jovovich can still make some millions. And people will be able to enjoy the fanservice.

I wonder if the poor guy will be credited in the credits in some way to show he died on set?

Sounds like someone was negligent or lax in safety measures :/

Possibly so. Would like to see the safety investigation report. But sometimes accidents happen and only through hindsight are proper measures taken place so it doesn't happen again

Read an article about that British woman who had the bike accident on set also needing her arm amputated now. Seems like safety on this set was not of much concern. But then again, the movie is shot in SA so if they try and skimp on cheap locations I suppose safety is also skimped on :eek:

Cape Town – South African born stuntwoman, Olivia Jackson, is still recovering from her injuries after a horrific motorcycle accident during a stunt sequence on the set of Resident Evil.

Olivia was seriously injured in her face, head, shoulder and left hand and arm in the 5 September accident on the set of the film in Johannesburg.
