How #DataMustFall was a load of nonsense

All these "fallist" movements are BS. They are however very trendy and much loved by those considering themselves "woke".

As for Tbo Touch's fallist initiative - he should have rather build on what Gareth Cliff did when he launched Cliff Central (got the Cliffcentral stream Zero-Rated on MTN for a period) and tried to negotiate special data rates if you stream via their app etc.

The research is kind of bs.

For one it uses the word household.
Contracts range from R100 -> R300 for most.

So if there are three people, that would already be R450 providing each one is on a R150 contract.

Unless that is the actual income groups for a single person, then it looks more accurate.

The issue is around data cost not total cellphone airtime / contract / device cost.
 
IT Doesn't effen MAtter we still Pay tooo freaking Much for something as trivial as to be Online so yeah #DatamustFall
