I also wondered and the only thing I can think of is Facebook. You joined any DA Facebook group.

Otherwise, they got it like everyone else gets numbers: they buy it from some list.

Probably got your number the same way other places gets your number. We all get sms's and calls from banks, cell phone dealers, people who wants to sell you policies etc. Nothing new...

The IEC does not have my cellphone number, Its not listed anywhere, yet I also got the SMS. I am extremely carefull to whom I give my cellphone number, and the majority of the time I rather give out my landline number because I do not want to receive spam SMS.

I have no interest in politics. It's my right.

your right not to vote, but also NO right not to complain if they sent you sms's

just how the system works, I find it ironic that the people who complain the most about politics and the government never cast a single vote.

what's worse I opted out on Saturday. Then I got another sms on Sunday. I want my money back

When we become more serious, do we not have laws against people sending you spam SMS? Are you not meant to give your info to someone willingly before they SMS/Email/Phone spam you?
