Artificial intelligence imagines 41 countries as supervillains — including South Africa

A generative AI content creator on TikTok, Lucas Freitas, recently posted 41 images where he asked Midjourney to turn different countries into supervillains.

Midjourney is an independent research lab that released an artificial intelligence (AI) image generation tool of the same name last year.

LOL. You're right. It's unreasonable to expect a country to be able to keep the lights on into the early morning like South Korea and China right next door easily do.

True Korea is surely the most advanced nation on the planet. It's their world, we're just living in it.

Cybernetics research leaders and their electricity is ubiquitous and reliable. Anyone who says otherwise clearly watches too much TV.

There are arguments for a few contenders:

1. The Chilean dude is God of War boss big. He'll win some fights.
2. Qatar's Arabian Raiden — how many jiggavolts in a bolt of lightning?
3. The Netherlands' Davey Jones + Flying Dutchman — already dead.

But my favourites in a fight would be Thailand and India. As many tourists to South Africa inevitably learn: Don't mess with elephants.

Thailand's my overall pick. Elephant + Muay Thai = totally disabled opponents with every bone shattered in alphabetical order.
