Afrihost has a good map with most providers on it, note it's not always up to date.
https://www.afrihost.com/fibre/capped#fibre-availability
Added the ID to the link, should scroll you to the correct area.
Personally on OpenServe, I use Afrihost's 100Mbps 20GB OpenServe package for R747.00 and am using a Vox 300GB account due to the installation and router costs being included. Not sure if it's the most viable option anymore, it was at the near 2 months ago.

would be nice if these coverage maps had some sort of changelog so we know when and which areas are updated.

Frogfoot has an e-mail system and they post on FB.

I would suggest joining the community fiber group/starting a general interest in getting fiber in the area group.

Would be nice if these coverage maps were accurate.

On Openserve's, Cell C, Afrihost and many other ISPs, I have been for a year classified as "Fibre 100mbps available".

6 months after I subscribed, Cell C changed its maps and confirmed by email that:

Thank you for your email.

I have escalated it and their feedback states that the infrastructure for your area still needs to be build.

Unfortunately at this stage they don’t have any ETA on when it will be done.
Kind regards,

But Openserve still classifies it a "fibre 100mbps available"...

Yeah, there are also many cases of the opposite, where your neighbor could have fiber but since the map isn't updated, your ISP won't allow you to apply for it.
