Hi All

I am stuck with a problem, A customer of mine want's tp replace his cisco 800 series router with a SRP 527W small business router. This one comes with a Backup 3G setup.

The problem IS that they rent the equipment from IS and the are handeling the account.

So, long story short, IS whant's to charge R250 per month for new router with failover Plus R500 once off setup fee and between 70c and 80c per Meg should the new router fail over to the 3G.

I'vw asked them If I could buy the equipment and my own Data solution, I Just want to copy the tables from old 800 Series router to the new one.

Support told me sorry, we are not alloed to give you the information or how to do it.The new router does not belong to IS.
Any ideas on how I can achieve this please.ADSL line with fixed IP's account from IS.

Regards

It is the fixed IP that is going to be the challenge. You can't use normal 3G data for that and it is also a non standard ADSL config. If you're happy to give up the fixed IP then you can do it cheaply. If not then you are stuck with those costs.
