How do I read TDK DVD RW (for video cam) On my PC' DVD Rom

Hi

Hope someone can help me.
A friennd brought me a small DVD TDK RW (for video cam)
She wants me to get the info onto the pc and write it to a avarage size dvd.

Quesiotn is how do i go about this?

I presume the cam burned the video directly onto the dvd

I hav a macbook and am to afraid to put this small thingie into the cdrom drive, just now it cant get out again.

I do own another DT PC with dvd rom
