How do I replace roof nails on an iron roof?

So last nights storm caused water to seep through my roof where the roof is flat.
Upon inspecting the roof this morning I noticed a whole bunch of Iron plates that lifted and that basically removed the roof nails.

Now I need to secure the iron plates back in place. How do I do that? I would think that the roof nails are now damaged and I would have to replace them with new ones.

Can I buy any roof nails? Do I just hammer them in place?

You get nail in or screws. Since you can only put them in in the same place the others came out I'd suggest getting roof screws. 65mm for corrugated profile and 90mm for ibr.

you might want to waterproof over the screw-nails and joins while you're up there.

65mm Screws it is. So I just remove the nails that lifted and screw the new screw in?

Do recommend any specific product? Will I not have a problem with the waterproofing washing away if I apply it now and it rains a bit later today?

There must be 100's of different products out there but see if you can get the safetop speed bit screws. You will have reseal any existing waterproofing.

waterproofing takes a few hours to dry, get the membranes and acrylic waterproofing.
You get different widths and small circles for covering the screws.

as long as it doesnt rain within like 2-4 hours or so of painting you should be fine.
