How do I use my old huawei b612 router as a wifi extender

I have 2 Huawei B612 routers but currently using only one. However, the Wi-Fi connection is very weak in one of the rooms. I want to use one of the routers as a repeater(extender) and place it on the other room to enhance the network connection.
How do I go about that?

B612's can't be set up as extenders.

I think you can set it up with a Lan cable to one of the lan ports and set it up as a Wan port. I have seen that done on a B315 so it might be a solution for you.

Or setup the wifi, give it a static IP on LAN and then disable DHCP.

Will then work as WAP but needs to be connected by cable as IamNoone suggested above.
