Hi Guys/Girls,
I recently had my ADSL line installed and are are happy to finally be enjoying the benefits thereof (and btw, the Telkom tech's who installed my line were top, even worked overtime to make sure that i was up and running by the time i needed to go "live" - very welcoming indeed).
Never the less, as with anyone who uses the net at home, I would like the fastest possible speed that is available to me, which in SA is the "4Mbps" option as we all know (not bad).
Anyhow, I asked the tech if the exchange I'm connected to supports a 4Mbps line and he said yes
, needless to say I called Telkom to upgrade my 384 to the 4Mbps and was then informed by the consultant on the other end of the line, that my exchange only supports 512??
...
What i want to know is, is there anyway to check the availability of a 4Mbps line in your area?? or in any area...and if not, what would be needed to upgrade the exchange to a 4Mbps line?
