How do you transfer money to your South African Bank account from UK?

I am contemplating taking a job in UK for a period of a year. I would be getting paid in a UK bank account. I still have debit orders that goes through on my absa account in south africa. Is it possible to deposit into absa account from UK? What are the ways this will need to be done every month? Anybody familiar or in the same situation? Is the transfers prompt?

Wise formally TransferWise. Get a YK Account you'll be paid too and youll transfer the funds to your Absa account

It will probably be cheaper to send ZAR to SA instead of GBP because the commission and conversion charges in SA work out to about 4% if converting this side.

Swift to most banks from UK, can be all done online, costs about £20 excluding exchange rate conversion and processing fees this end.

Not really worth it for small amounts, but if txferring a few £1000, then yes.
