As per the title - say your area is fibre enabled - how does it get from outside your property to inside your property.

Do they need to run cables? Currently have decent ADSL - besides the cable in the roof - it must go into the ground (paved) somewhere as its not visible once it leaves the roof and into the wall.

They ran a fiber line to the inside CPE box at our place.

Typically, your current Telkom copper wires will run in a conduit where they are inside walls or underground. So the fibre would follow the same path.

That's what I'm worried about - the Telkom wiring in the roof is a complete mess... and inaccessible in the roof without taking the ceiling out.

I also have no clue where they go into the wall - just the general direction they head in from the wallbox

In my case the guys just used the old telkom cable as a draw wire to pull the fibre from the roof down to where they installed the CPE.

Who is the fibre provider you are referring to? Vumatel is trenched, Vumatel Aerial is Aerial as described. Openserve Aerial as well.

Depends, my copper was underground and the fibre went the same way.
