Fibre Internet service provider Cool Ideas has been beleaguered by distributed denial of service attacks (DDoS) over the past few weeks.

This has severely degraded performance on its network, even causing an hours-long outage.

Shouldn't all or more isps be affected?

That's what I'd love to know. Someone, somewhere spent money or went to the trouble of coordinating this DDOS with the explicit reason of taking Cool Ideas out. It doesn't happen by chance.

That's what I thought - it's fairly cheap to rent a DDOS service, but it's happened twice now, with a lot of bandwidth, over quite a decent span of time - it's probably moving out of the budget of disgruntled employee range.

Maybe it's cloudflare, doing a HARD sell for their anti-DDOS service
