How far have you pushed your uncapped RAIN SIM?

Is the 7 days unlimited with a new sim all day, or also only 23:00 to 18:00?

Which is only a problem if you can get more than 100 Mbps total load balancing or 100 Mbps per network when time switching (which is what I do). I’ve got Rain and Telkom and get 40/15 each. Load balancer is connected to a 16 port GbE switch which everything is connected to.
Fair enough. Never said it was an issue for everyone, just mentioned it as it has bitten some others in the butt before.

Yes like me trying to loadbalance my Telkom uncapped LTE @ 90Mbps and Rain @ 38Mbps....

Reading the comments praising the offering I finally bit the bullet and signed up. This will complement my Telkom Uncapped LTE rather nicely considering I've been forced to watch content on 720p on the Telkom offering due to the data cap and being throttled halfway through most months.

Any specific router recommendations?
Which package or whatever its called did you get... I am contemplating this to supplement my ADSL to get around low upload speeds

I am also ordering the sim with uncapped off-peak to test out speeds and coverage at my work place. R51 once off and R250pm seems very reasonable. Hope the speeds are good though, especially upload. Currently have 20mbps VDSL with upload speed of 0,5mbps (haha!) and since we recently moved to the cloud it is a real pain. No fibre available in our area

Help me out man, is this on a regular ISP's website or rain itself?

Tragic. After a bit of research I could also find fibre from one provider. Business fibre. But at R2999pm for 20mbps it just isn't worth it. Currently paying around R1400pm for the ADSL which is also a ripoff in this day and age. Here is to hoping rain sorts out our problems..

What router would you guys reccomend? Was thinking of getting the B618 for the aggregation as the coverage maps show signal for both mobile and fixed. Even willing to add an external antenna if signal is not 100%

Yeah R1400 is a rip. Not sure why Openserve reduce the price for adsl and VDSL instead it's more expensive. For comparison I pay R1749 for 200Mbps down and 100Mbps up on Openserve with Supersonic. Very sad adsl and vds is so expensive and still relatively slow.

Thanks guys!

Test if out and see how it works. Remember that Rain runs 2 bands. B3 which is 1800Mhz and band 41 which is 2600Mhz. Band 41 is TDD so upload will be slower but download speed usually faster. B3 is FDD so it's more or less symmetrical download and upload speed.

Absolute ripoff. I also get 50/50 on SADV with Cool Ideas @ R909pm at home
