My photo host, Smugmug, gives me the capability to see who is linking my pictures. I sometimes follow these links to see which pictures are being linked. A few of these (all to .in sites) give results similar to the pic above. It even has a progress bar, showing that it is "working".

The joke is I'm on Linux and don't have C:, nor those directories! I wonder how many people click on the link to have these "viruses" removed. One day when I'm really bored I'll follow the link :D

I think that same image is given to everyone, so that they might panic and install wateva **** it is that you download when you choose to download their FREE removal software.
I don't trust those links, that's normally when you get to install those scary little things that you are trying to avoid.

I've been watching this "fake antivirus" business grow. It's really clever, some of them actually give you software that looks and behaves just like a real antivirus, but doesn't actually do anything other than un-installing your real antivirus.
