Having owned a Getz and driven an i10, the Getz feels more "substantial" and refined than the i10. It's also way more powerful and built better from better materials.

I'd have the Getz over the i10 any day.

From another thread:
We had a Getz(with RDS :)) for about three years. Apart from those unavoidable scratches on parts like the gear lever and door handles the intererior looked just as good after three years as the day it was delivered. It never broke down, everything worked perfectly and the aftersales service was excellent. Quite difficult to say anything bad about this car.

It's basic transportation, but in terms of value for money at the time it was a very good option.

It's too old to buy anymore. If you bought one 10 years ago then its good. But buying one now is just silly.

Guess you're right, size matters, not age. Should have gotten a Pony Excel

The Getz is a good car. Some clonks and bangs over bumps, but my neighbour has had one (1.4 engine) for 7 years, done 210000km and it has been faultless. He found the first set of tyres only lasted 45000km but bought some Michelins and they lasted 85000km.

The newer ones (i10 and i20) might be a little more up to date, but not much
