How long does it take to get through to Telkom 0800 375 375 ?

LOL I was on hold for 10 mins, put my phone on speaker and just left it lying there waiting for someone to pick up.

Eventually the song drove me so crazy I just gave up.

And all I wanted to do was actually phone them to tell them that they can close a fault I logged cos it was sorted out. Bugger that they can phone me!

around 30min. For fault logging call early in the mornings. they pick up straight away.

It just rings, and rings.

While inbetween they play this subtle little soothing tone (to calm u down), cause they know you must be raging.. So they keep playing that calming down music.

But it doesn't work.. :((

normaly 10-20min waiting yeah.. I once fell asleep on the bed. while waiting. (our one phone is next to the bed, and thought well i might lie down and wait)...

I don't think i've ever waited longer than 5 min...

Then again, I don't think I've ever spoken to them. (Always get some1 else to do it)

When I was having to phone them, I thought their Call Centre was programmed to keep all calls on hold for 20mins before transferring :)

The best was calling at 16h50 - on hold for 10mins until 17h00 then it switches to a message saying "our office hours are..."

I've waited for up to an hour......In fact.....between the > 10 calls I have made.....I have NEVER gotten through to an operator. The hold music always drove me nuts.....They should at least play a radio station or something similar!

i find the easiest way is to find a telkom customer service shop in your area, call the centre management of the mall and ask them if they have the telkom customer stores tel.number, they not supposed to give it to the public but give them some crap story that you suspect you left your wallet in the store and they will give you the phone number, call them and log the call. takes about 10 mins

Seriously, phoning Telkom is like phoning Vodacom these days... life stealing. :(

I rather walk into a shop when I am near one or send an e-mail. They dont deserve my darn time. :mad:

I've waited years for a positive answer and still get the same old song and message, ...Early in the morning? forget about it "They're not all there yet!" Lunchtime "At lunch!" "Late afternoon" Home Time! Forget about it, try the next day!...Longest time waited, 45 minutes...
