How long into the relationship before you decided to move in with your SO?

How long are you together now? How long before you called it quits?

My girlfriend of almost 2 years recently suggested that maybe she should move into my place. I think it has more to do with wanting to get out of her parents' house. I wouldn't mind that but I told her I wasn't ready for it. She seems okay with it. For now.


I had a friend whose girlfriend moved in within 6 months of the relationship. It ended disastrously.

yea, not quite as long, 11 years next year (married) and about 12 years living together.

This. Her reason for wanting to move in with you has very little to do with wanting to be with you. Good thinking on your part.

I did it other way round. Moved in with a friend, which became my girlfriend after a year which I married 5 years after that.

Kind of in the same boat. Been together for more than 2 years but still haven't moved in together...
