I am with Webafrica as ISP on Openserve Fibre.
Current package is 20/10 with 200Gb cap.
Saw yesterday that for R100 more I can have 100/50 with 300Gb cap. (Uncapped, but FUP of 300Gb).
Did the upgrade via clientzone at around 16h30 yesterday afternoon.
I expected the change to happen within an hour or two. Tried a speedtest this morning at around 04h00 & it's shows 39/19 - which would mean a 40/20 speed.
Emailed support, who responded within an hour, to say that the change would happen during the course of today, but it could take up to 48 hours.
Can anyone explain why it takes so long? What is the process that needs to take place, who needs to do what, in order for it to take up to 2 days?
When I was on ADSL the change from 10 to 20Mbps took 15 minutes - of which 10 was being on hold waiting for a consultant!
