How long would you say till we go live?

So since about Friday last week we have had the wire sticking out of our verge. We are waiting for the box to be installed on the boundary and the installation from there to the house.
I have preordered with Afrihost already and just waiting, wondering if I should renew our Rain LTE service for one more month or not...

Vuma has been less than helpful with an eta...

How long would you say till we go live?

We have had the box installed for close to a month, and still not live. Open the box and check if there is fibre in it, the first time I checked it was just an empty box. Not sure what area you in either.

My fibre have been in the box and spliced for around 2 weeks. I had a rehabilitation issue, so I managed to get hold of the project manager here. He indicated that the build is finished except for 3 road cuts, but it will only be live in January, since they haven't started provisioning and that will only happen once they open again in Jan. December is a bad time to try and get a build live...

Well there goes hopes of a connected Christmas for me!

I'll cling to that small sliver of hope that it happens before, but I won't hold my breath.

Well looks like all the houses in the area have the greybox installed now (with wires going to them). Some have home instllations done, white electrical tubes going to houses (only a few). Vuma still maintains that go live will only happen end of January.


I am still hopeful for a pre-christmas date.

Blitz is busy installing in our complex, they haven't even bothered to respond to my emails about an ETA.
