the first thing i will do is take my son,and siphon petrol out of everything i can .Get my car going and move towards the equator.maybe tropic of capricorn or cancer..............me be a tarzan man and all with my old ass.
There i will build me ****.....first stop will be hospitals and pharmacy .take all the **** that gets you to survive in the jungle.

Live close to a river and use firearms to get food..............life is grand

The world probably could not support its present population in cities as at present. Large scale deaths as world realigns itself to the new norm. But then people will adjust and the survivors will thrive (not as well as before but within new parameters)

Your car uses electricity to start and run various things, your car won't work.

I am not sure what you mean but i do have an alternator as long as i have petrol. So i can produce my electricity to spark the plugs to get the engine running.
No electricity, even from an alternator. It's not just power stations, anything that requires electricity doesn't work. Even your phone won't turn on

Electricity is emergent from the universal Force of Electro-Magnetism. The only way to get it to vanish, would be to vanish EM, or alter it so much that electricity cannot result from it.

If it just... Snap, vanishes. You wouldn't even notice it when everything in the universe instantly ceases to be. Because you'd instantly cease to be, along with the rest.

Whatever remains, if that is even a sensible way to describe what might follow, would probably be meaningless in any way we could conceptualise from a human perspective. The concept of "conceptualize from a human perspective" would have likely ceased to objectively exist.

I am guessing they are implying this on the TV series Revolution where it was found out that there were billions of nanites that were released world wide that worked like little batteries that absorbed all electricity generated by man.
Though somehow steam engines could still work as those didn't great power in that sense, so you could still be like a 17th to 19th century civilization, with gas lamps, sailing/steam ships and such.

Came to the conclusion the other day that after a Carrington event South Africa may just emerge as a new world superpower. A lot of people already have solar to some degree, and with Eskom's new prices many more will forgo the grid totally.
The out laying areas already do so many things for themselves, there is a good chance they will survive it. With all the WISPS we will even have a WAN running in no time.

Yes, it will kill millions of parasites, but those who survive will be able to rebuild at an insane rate.

As for me surviving. I may despise getting wet, dirty and gross, but I have done survival camps and can probably still field strip an R4 eyes closed...

Yeah I figured. Thought I'd take a stance where the "vanish" was literal. For fun.

If you can’t drive a lot of people are going to be surprised how far away from the cities you need to walk/run to get to the areas where you can somewhat cope.

This will be more like urban chaos survival than bear grylls.

Sometimes I wish it would happen to watch chaos ensue.

You don’t. Post-apocalyptic is one of my favourite genres and I’ve read enough books on the chaos that erupts after an EMP. The riots will start after a couple of days then it’s lawlessness and a dystopian nightmare in which most of us will not survive.

I do, I think society as a whole needs to be wiped out. I really think majority of people are just cancers on this earth.

Nope that's no electricity in parts of the city. This is no electricity anywhere, not even your car will work.

Is this a real world scenario, or a fantasy thing.

Because in a real world scenario people will have solar, etc.

Fantasy, cause the chances of electricity dying completely like they said isn't that high.

I reckon a good old snapping should do the trick.

But no wifi? No thx. F that
