Here's a bit of trivial discussion...

I was just having a discussion with a colleague about the number of devices we have on our home networks, and it got me wondering what is the norm?

I counted up 12 devices (1 X Desktop PC, 2 X Laptops, MVIX, Mede8er, WII, NDS, Printer, Mobile phone, NAS and 2 Routers). My colleague got to 22!!

2 laptops
3 desktops
1 Media server
1 xbox 360

Edit

The 360 is now packed away so its not on the network anymore..

Currently not much, but only in my room:

1x Mikrotik RB 750g - acting as gateway and switch
1x HTPC which runs XBMC interface
1x Gaming PC with Windows 7 x64, activated properly thanks to a friend for official key
1x Laptop with Buntu Linux on
1x D-Link Wireless AP
1x Nokia N900

And that is just the devices I personally use.

ADSL WiFi router/modem, PS3, 2 x cellphones, 2 x laptops. Pretty small.

I don't understand how the rest of you guys have more than 10 devices, unless there are lots of people living in the same house.

2x Phones
1x Wireless router/modem
1x Wireless router
1x Switch
1x Server
3x Laptops
1x XBox

So a total of 10 devices that I can think of now. I've actually been holding back on a lot of hardware and projects since we're moving at the end of the year. Once we're in our new place, that list will probably grow quite a bit.
