100k is worth bugger all in today's world...SA included.

Less than a year's modest living expenses in 2019...6 months more like.

Correct me if I misunderstood your comment wrong here, but did you mean to say that you have 10x 100k in savings right now..? If that is the case, 100k may be bugger all to you, but would change the lives of quite a few many people in SA if they choose to use it wisely..

R36k in a notice deposit. I was worried about living on overdraft again after January month end, an unexpected bonus pay out ensured I am still okay and have a little to put away, hopefully the trend continues for the rest of the year. Economic Freedom, in our lifetime.

Same problem here. 95% in cash split between USD, ZAR and GBP. Scared of jumping into the market right now.

It has served me well over the last few months. Probably put more in bonds soon.
