R49829 for 12 months up to 30 June 2013. That is at Woolies where we do about 80-90% of our shopping. This is for two adults and a 2 year old. Includes groceries, toiletries, fresh fruit, veggies and chicken ..... occasionally meat and fish. Excludes clothing. Then we do once a week (average) take-outs and 80% of the time we buy nappies and milk at Clicks or Dis-Chem.

You know you could just post 4.1k...it would make it comparable to the 120 posts before yours...

I know, but I just took the total spend as per the Woolies site under 'Financial Services'. Just enter your ID number and it shows your transaction total and savings for each month. (If you use the WRewards card)

I'd say about R1200. Just me.

Do my big shop at the beginning of the month for around R400. Then top ups during the month at about R200 per week for milk, perishables etc. Spend say 200-300 on booze pm.

Don't eat out at all and often skip lunch if I don't have left overs from the night before.

Just a minor rant about stuff..

HOLY CRAP MAN. R500 on cat food and cat litter. Then R800 for the dog's rabies jabs and deworming. Then R400 for the cat that's adopted us (god knows where from) deworming and rabies. Then another R1200 to have the wolf neutered. Then R700 on medicine for this fkn cough that won't go away. WHEN DOES IT END?! Trying to save for a freaking WEDDING here... and on that subject - R400 a head?! Really?!

When you see her next time ask her why she is gaining weight....will save you a fortune in wedding fees.

Bump! Let's get some 2015 updates. We're now 2.5 people in the house and apparently spend R6.5k on groceries, a decrease of R1.5k from 2 years ago while also adding half a person.

We basically cut out the booze and reduced the number of braais, they were money sinkholes.
