It varies between R1400 to R2000 depending on what we need to stock up on.

About R1200 and R1500 depends if the Cleaning stuff has run out.
That excludes meat and day to day bread and milk.

Just me and the wife. We could probably cut on that, but then you are eating the bare min, and nothing “nice”.

Family of 4 now so our bill is R4K - if we went back to our old lifestyle (b4 kids), then it would go to R7K with the insane food inflation.

My puppy eats R600 a month :( Girlfriends two yorkies are R400.

jirre, what you feeding it, fillet :wtf:

We get dog mince from Spar ...... works out to about R5 a night meat wise (about a kilo) and we mix that with rice. They get that twice a day and have vet crunchies too

She's a giant breed - so getting food to help with bone growth so she has less problems when older. R5xx a bag which she eats in a month...

i have seriously thought about going to Trade Centre and start buying in bulk to try and save costs

Pretoria East Trade Centre has now been rebranded as a Metro supermarket or such...

Anyway, our groceries are around R900pm...

We limit ourselves to R1K a week too. Also we learn't to eat out during specials as its can be a cheaper option. Example: last night we went to Spur, kids eat free on Wednesday. Bill was R129 for all of us - I took my own wine with (R60 Zonnebloem Merlot).
