How much does the signal vary inside your house?

Hi there,

I'm looking at getting Iburst but I'm wondering how sensitive the signal is, according to the site its pretty strong in my area but I was wondering how sensitive the signal is to its location within my house..uh flat itself. Will there be a difference putting in in the middle of the place as opposed to near an open window etc?

Well,

I'm on the "Edge" of the coverage area.

This means that my signal varies from really good to nothing by just moving the modem a few inches!!

I really need to get an outside antenna, but currently the modem is in a sweet spot, so I'm leaving it as is for now.

Signal in my house varies between -81 and -95 in the space of about 30 centimetres, so yeah, I'd say it's pretty sensitive.

I get 100% no matter where i am in my house

Interesting? How did you guys determine the signal strength? Does it tell you on the reciever or did you cart your machine around the house?

I'm using the utTraceStar software available through the threads here. Not sure what S1ght means by 100% signal. I've had the IBurst Terminal Software tell me I have 100% signal, but still had an unusable connection.
