Hmmm, a bit difficult for me sine my wife (who's homemaker) does the majority of money management, but let me try the percentage thing

Bond: 9.3%
Utilities: 3%
Car: 0%
Petrol: 1.6%
Commuting to work: 0.9%
"Luxuries" - ADSL, DSTV, Netflix, etc: 4.1%
Personal Loans: 20% - only a few months left
Sins: 5%
Wife: 50%

From this month there's an additional 6 odd percent (annual increase) which we'll probably just save somewhere since we want to go off grid.

My wife pays school fees, clothes, food and who knows what else!

Percentage wise I can attempt :

Monthly Saving 35%
Bank Fees and Funny Things 15%
ADSL 3%
Lunch 4%
Vodacom 6%
Parents 5%
Surplus 16%
Car 7%
Total 91%

Not sure where the other 9% goes :erm:

You counted lunch, maybe the 9% goes on breakfast and supper?

Insurance: R900
Fuel: R1,500
RA/Investments: R6,000
Cellphone: R500
Food and groceries: R2,000
Pissing away money: R3,000
Rest: dumped into bond, car and savings

1. Big deposit on your place? Seems decently priced.
2. How did you get your car payments so low ? :erm:

That bond is tiny! Either you live in a small section of a 1 bedroom flat, or you put down a healthy deposit.
