Netting R47k now. Difference is going to more investments. Bought the missus a car paid for that out of the bond. Cellular is down to zero.
Netting around R52k now. 29 years old. I had an opportunity to increase that a good chunk, but ran into restraint of trade issues so couldn't take the guys up on their offer.

Very little has changed in our lifestyles.
Still a dual income, child-free household with the same expenses. Our home should be paid off by the end of the year, which would mean we're then debt free.

I've pushed more and more into savings over the last year, and will continue to do so. We're saving probably around 40% of our combined income, at this point.

I've been considering the CBAP cert. Would you say itswbeen worthwhile?

MBA is a possibility somewhere along the line, though I'm not positive I could manage the workload along with my current obligations and remain sane.

CBAP very much worth it, its still relatively scarce in South Africa so when an employer hears that you have it, they start throwing dollar bills at you.

I also learnt a heck of alot along the way which helps :)

Meanwhile I've had some serious lifestyle creep. :(

I'm in my mid 30's. Net income after tax and medical aid is R54K. House is 90% paid off. Both cars bought with cash.
School fees R6500
Insurance is R2100
Rates R1500
Electricity R1400-R1600
Food R7000
Toiletries/cleaning/gardening stuff R2000.
Maid 1.5x per week R1300
Petrol R700

That leaves about R30K to save and spend. I buy a lot of gadgets. I'm pretty good at saving but bad at deciding where to invest and make up my mind.

I left IT to do my own thing. Didn't finish my degree and have no qualifictions for type of work I do now, but Im the boss so it doesn't matter.

I have no idea what I earn, it's fluctuating wildly month to month at this point. All I know is that I am on 319k after tax earned since January most of that has gone into debt repayments.
