A lot of assumptions there. Cope harder. Must suck to have such resentment.

Curro is the cheapest of the good private schools and most of them are more than R10K a month for 2 kids in primary school. All of the Cape Town ones are more than that for high school.

The Southern Suburbs does have the best schools by academic record in one area. It's not just an opinion.

7 out of the top 10 schools in the Western Cape based on overall the last Matric results and provincial awards are in the Southern Suburbs within about 5km of each other. Most of them NOT private. Maybe I just want to give my kids the best education I can afford, and they deserve.

Hopefully not Bishops.

Check the many replies and go forth & debate.

But a R45k salary for a single person in SA is nothing. Its hardly enough to scrape by with the current living costs. Unless of course if you are happy living like a pauper.

I think a reasonable salary for a single person in SA should be at least R100k a month. R1.5m a month for a family of 3. Then you will live an average middle-class life we experienced back in the day.

I'm happy with 15K a month. To be fair my happiness is driven more by the fact that I'm child and wifeless but I very happy I have a job.

Funny that gay pride invokes Twitter battles from Bishops parents while the woman who raped 30 schoolboys did not even loose her teaching licence because the parents refused to speak out on the matter.

Take away all your fancy bean grinders and you will quickly see how unhappy you are. Coffee is not the only measure of happiness but does have an impact of on ones happiness. Also you will quickly see how your family falls apart once you've reached the level of chicory your family can't live on.

So yes, it does. Test it.
