Actuarial modelling by the Retirement Matters Committee of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (ASSA) shows that the National Treasury’s 'two-bucket' proposal is likely to result in significantly higher monthly retirement income for pensioners.

If i get tax free access to 1/3 i'm withhdrawing and offshoring that immediately to get around the 30% offshore limit.

I think it is a good idea as long as the government cant get their grubby big fingers on the money .
I never touched my pension and i live very comfortably on my pension . i am not a burden to the state and have a good medical aid .

In a country like SA its never a good idea. Even in the UK people have 3rd party pensions.

The government will never know what is best for everyone. They need to have their powers reduced.
